Congratulations, John Vic!
Kapuso athlete John Vic De Guzman recently bagged the Outstanding Sportsman of the Year award at the Diamond Excellence Awards 2021.
The volleyball star-turned-actor expressed his heartfelt gratitude for his latest recognition in the field of sports.
Along with a photo of himself holding his golden award, he wrote, “Para po sa isang balebolistang tulad ko, isang malaking karangalan na po ang makatanggap ng Sportsman of the Year award dahil alam niyo naman ang pagkilala sa Men's Volleyball ay patuloy namin pinaghihirapan at pinagdadasal.
“Malayo pa po ang kailangan lakbayin para makamit ng National Men's Volleyball Team ang tagumpay pero dahil po sa patuloy ninyong suporta at pagkilala - alam kong di tatagal, makakamit po namin ang pangarap na yan.”
The 27-year-old Kapuso also offered his latest recognition to his fellow coaches and teammates.
He continued, “Gusto ko po ialay ang award na ito sa aking teammates at coaches dahil sila rin po ay huwarang sportsmen. Kung hindi dahil sa kanila, baka wala po ako sa inyong harapan para tanggapin ito.”
Lastly, John Vic also thanked his league in Calamba, Laguna for the continuous recognition of his hard work in volleyball.
“Sa aking mga ka-liga sa Calamba, Laguna, kung saan ako nagsimulang mangarap, maraming Salamat po sa patuloy na pagkilala. Diamond Excellence Awards, mabuhay po kayo!” he added.
In July, John Vic was also recognized as an Outstanding Sportsman of the Year at the third edition of the Laguna Excellence Awards.
Apart from his life inside the court, he is also a part of GMA's roster of talents.
